ZSFab Announces Second Clinical Use of the ZSFab Cervical Interbody System for ACDF
WALTHAM, Mass., April 7, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ZSFab, Inc., a leading innovator in 3D-printed medical devices, proudly announces the successful completion of their second case in the United States. The procedure was performed by esteemed Orthopaedic Surgeon Dr. Jeffrey Moore in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Dr. Moore executed a 3-level Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion (ACDF) using ZSFab's state-of-the-art Cervical Interbody System at The Surgical Hospital of Oklahoma. This marks the second case within a week in Oklahoma, further solidifying the company's national presence.
ZSFab is honored to welcome Dr. Moore as a member of its Advisory Board, where his expertise will guide the development of top-tier medical products. Collaborating with Dr. Fernando Villamil, Dr. Moore will also contribute to the design of ZSFab's stand-alone cervical cage.
The ZSFab Cervical Interbody System boasts a cutting-edge, additively manufactured porous titanium implant, featuring an optimized triply periodic minimal surface (TPMS) lattice structure. This advanced design offers reduced subsidence and enhanced stress distribution. The cervical implant is equipped with rigid teeth on both inferior and superior surfaces, ensuring resistance to migration after insertion and maximizing contact surface area with vertebral endplates. To accommodate various ACDF procedures, the interbody device is available in a wide range of sizes.
A distinguished medical professional, Dr. Moore earned his bachelor's degree from Duke University and his Doctor of Medicine degree at Rutgers University. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Seton Hall/St. Joseph's, followed by a spine surgery fellowship at the prestigious University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Moore further honed his expertise with an advanced lateral surgery (PTP) fellowship in California, working alongside several world-renowned surgeons.
